Responsibilities
The Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) is operated by the Wastewater Division of Public Works. The facility treats domestic and industrial wastewater according to standards set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality.
The WWTF is responsible for:
- process control
- chemical analysis
- testing
- permit compliance
- monitoring
Tours
Organized tours are available between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Upon special request, large groups, such as school classes are accommodated.
