Responsibilities
The Water Billing office is responsible for setting up new accounts, account transfer, service disconnect and reconnects, and the water utility billing services. New residents should stop in or call to provide their name and address for proper utility service billing. The office is located on the first floor of City Hall.
Columbus water bills are based on the amount of gallons used. The billing cycle is performed on a monthly basis, with bills due on the 20th day of each month. The sanitary sewer bills are based upon the homeowner’s December through February water usage. For residents without city water, the sewer usage is based on the average bill of all residential customers.
