Columbus Fire Department officials had no problem extinguishing a small property fire Friday evening in town.
A call came in just before 5:25 p.m. April 28th, 2023, about a small property fire in the 900 block of 30th Avenue in Columbus. The fire was contained and extinguished quickly by the crews, resulting in minimal damage, according to Assistant Fire Chief Nathan Jones. The assistant chief also mentioned there were no injuries of civilians or fire personnel.
“Everyone’s fast action and coordination led to a quick fire extinguishment, resulting in minimal damage,” Jones said. “Minor smoke damage and contents damage were observed in one apartment and minor smoke in another.”
