Three suspects were brought into custody Tuesday morning after Columbus Police officers responded to a robbery at a residence within the city limits.
At about 11:22 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2023, Columbus Police Department officers responded to a residence, where they were advised three individuals with knives had broken into the residence and stole a firearm from the home’s resident.
“The victim was able to identify the suspects and their vehicle,” CPD Capt. Doug Molczyk said.
The vehicle was quickly located by officers at 263 17th Ave. Officers were able to detain two of the suspects upon their arrival and the third suspect was reported to be in the house.
CPD officers secured a search warrant for the house and entered before bringing the third suspect into custody.
The police captain said names of the suspects, specific charges and more information would be released at a later time.
“The investigation is ongoing,” Molczyk said. “At this time, there is no threat to the community and this situation is contained.”
