The Columbus City Council will review a number of topics featured in a loaded agenda in its final meeting of the year next week.
The Council is set to convene at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18, 2023, in its chamber on the third floor of the Columbus Community Building, 2500 14th St.
The following reappointments will be considered:
- The reappointment of Councilman Ron Schilling to the Northeast Nebraska Area Agency for a three-year term
- The reappointment of Bruce W. Schmidt to the Board of Parks Commissioners for a three-year term
- The reappointment of Lela Schaecher, Pam Perault and Tom Wunderlich to Americans with Disabilities Compliance Committee for three-year terms

-Application of C. Ronald and Charlotte K. Lambert to rezone property located south of 51st Street and 38th Avenue from “R-R” (Rural Residential District) to “R-1” (Single-Family Residential District) and to amend the Future Land Use Map of the Comprehensive Plan (Planning Commission recommends approval).
-Application of Meadow Ridge Properties LLC to rezone property located at 49th Avenue and 42nd Street/43rd Street from “R-R” (Rural Residential District) to “R-3” (Multi-Family Residential District) and to amend the Future Land Use Map of the Comprehensive Plan (Planning Commission recommends approval).
