UPDATE: Friday's 'Morning Brew Community Chats' session canceled due to weather

BrewUpdate (1)

The City of Columbus' "Morning Brew Community Chats" sessions will debut later than expected thanks to Mother Nature.

City officials have opted to cancel the event that was scheduled to take place from 7 a.m.-8 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12, 2024, on the third floor of the Columbus Community Building due to predicted winter weather.

"Because of the weather and in the Interest of public safety, we felt it was best to delay," Mayor Jim Bulkley said.

Fear not. The plan is still to host regular coffee sessions with the public on the second and fourth Friday of each month. Morning Brew Community Chats will debut on Friday, Jan. 26, with tentative hosts in Councilman Ron Schilling, Councilman Prent Roth, Councilwoman Hope Freshour and Library Director Jeri Hopkins.
