Some City of Columbus departments will be closed July 3rd and 4th in observance of Independence Day.
Those closed include Animal Control, Aquatic Center, City Hall, Columbus Public Library, Columbus Area Transit System (CAT).
The Columbus Transfer Station and Yard Waste Site will be open regular hours on Friday, July 3rd. The Transfer Station and Yard Waste Site will be closed on Saturday, July 4, 2015. Per City Policy, if a holiday falls on a Saturday, the Transfer Station shall be closed.
Quail Run and Van Berg golf courses, cemeteries, and all parks will be open. The gates at Roselawn Cemetery will close the evening of Friday, July 3rd. Pawnee Plunge Water Park will be open -- weather permitting.
The Columbus Fire and Police departments will be open 24-7 for all public safety responses.
The Street Department, Wastewater, Water Production and Water Utility Service will be on call for any emergency.
