[ARCHIVED] Storm Recovery Update

A review of the storm damage shows it to be mostly concentrated in the center and south side of the city. Crews from the street department will continue to remove downed trees from the street right-of-way through Friday.

The crews will work from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in this effort. It is hoped that the streets will be cleared by Friday afternoon. Tree debris at the curb will be picked up by these crews next week until that effort is completed.

As previously noted, homeowners can drop off tree debris at the Transfer Station at no charge. The Transfer Station will be open this weekend the following hours: Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Sunday Noon – 5:00 p.m.

Citizens are again asked to be patient with this cleanup effort. City trucks hauling tree debris will be given priority at the drop-off site.

The city will advise of progress on Friday.
