Charlotte Endorf is coming to Columbus Public Library on Saturday, September 10th at 2:00 PM, dressed as Annie Oakley. Endorf will tell us all about the life and legacy of Annie Oakley. Oakley was described as the “greatest woman rifle shot”. A star attraction of Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show, she thrilled audiences around the world with her daring shooting feats. A champion in a man’s sport, she changed ideas about the abilities of women in the 19th century. Her fame and fortune came from her skill with guns. Endorf’s presentation dispels myths to reveal the real Annie Oakley. We are looking forward to hearing all about the life and legacy of Annie Oakley. Please join the fun!
