[ARCHIVED] Observance of Independence Day – July 4th
Some City of Columbus departments will be closed Tuesday, July 4, 2017, in observance of Independence Day.
Those closed include Animal Control, Columbus Aquatic Center, Columbus Public Library, the Columbus Community Center, and all departments located in City Hall. The Columbus Area Transit System (CAT) will be closed on Monday, July 3rd and Tuesday, July 4th.
The Columbus Transfer Station will be open Tuesday, July 4th to licensed garbage haulers only from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon. The Yard Waste Site will be closed.
Pawnee Plunge Water Park will be open on July 4th, weather permitting. Quail Run and Van Berg golf courses, cemeteries, and all parks will be open. The gates at Roselawn Cemetery will close the evening of Monday, July 3rd.
The Street Department, Wastewater, Water Production and Water Utility Service will be on call for emergencies.
The Columbus Fire and Police departments will be available 24-7 for all public safety responses.
