[ARCHIVED] Closure of 18th Avenue Union Pacific Railroad Crossing

The 18th Avenue Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) crossing will be closed beginning on August 7, 2017. A pedestrian overpass will be constructed and is scheduled to open in summer 2018.

During construction pedestrians may use the 17th Avenue UPRR pedestrian crossing. This crossing is not signal protected and pedestrians shall use extreme care and caution. The closest at-grade UPRR crossings for vehicles are located at 12th Avenue and 21st Avenue.

Local traffic access to adjacent properties on 18th Avenue from 12th Street to 14th Street will be maintained.
