[ARCHIVED] Closure of a Portion of 3rd Avenue for Continuation of the Viaduct Project

Starting March 1, 2018, for a period of about six months, 3rd Avenue from 19th Street to the south side of the UPPR tracks will be closed to through traffic due to the continuation of the 3rd Avenue Viaduct project.

Access to businesses located south of the UPRR tracks on 3rd Avenue will be on the official detour route until further notice. The official detour route, which will be marked with signs, is on U.S. Highway No. 30/23rd Street from 3rd to 10th Avenues; 10th Avenue from 15th to 23rd Streets; 15th Street from 10th to 12th Avenues; 12th Avenue from 8th to 15th Streets; and 8th Street from 3rd to 12th Avenues. Local traffic only access to the businesses south of the UPRR tracks will be maintained on 3rd Avenue until further notice.

Drivers and pedestrians are encouraged to use extreme caution in the area and on the detour route. See attached map for detour.
