[ARCHIVED] Discharge of Foundation Drain Sump Pumps

ATTENTION HOMEOWNERS OR RESIDENTS
It is a violation of Columbus City Codes 51.042, 51.076, and 150.052 to discharge foundation drain sump systems directly to the public sanitary sewer system.

Any foundation drain sump system shall discharge onto the owner’s property or to a city curb line. Please be advised that the Columbus Water Utility Staff and/or the Columbus Building Department may request an in-home inspection if outside discharge is not visible.

Should you have any questions, please call Jake Wacha of the Columbus Water Utility Division at 402-562-4246, or the Columbus City Hall Water Office at 402-562-4220.
