[ARCHIVED] Above-ground Swimming Pool Regulations

With the recent closure announcement of the Pawnee Plunge this summer, the Building Department would like to remind residents of above ground swimming pool regulations.

Any artificial pool of water having a depth at any point of more than two feet must be accompanied by at least a 4 foot 6 inch fence with a self-latching gate and must be a distance no less than eight feet from any side or rear property line or building line. If you are putting up a fence to surround your pool remember that you must first apply for a fence permit with the City of Columbus Building Department before doing so.

All City Codes and Ordinances are available on the City website www.columbusne.us, or feel free to call the City of Columbus Building Department at 402-562-4236 with any further questions.
