Due to several recent fires at the NE Nebraska Solid Waste Coalition landfill, we are requesting that everyone inspect all rechargeable items that may contain Lithium Ion Batteries, and direct the batteries to a recycling facility rather than the trash.
Large plastic rechargeable cars, 4 wheelers, etc. are all operated by Lithium Ion Batteries, as well as cell phones, small laptops, and other toys. All items that possibly contain Lithium Ion Batteries are subject to fires and explosions. Please remove battery before landfilling.
